Instantly, you are transported to a cozy log cabin where hospitality abounds. But you aren’t in some mountain hideaway; you’re in a coffee house in Central Michigan! Your senses were fooled by the warmth and charm of the rustic surroundings.

A coffee house is meant for relaxation, wrapped in comfort, while sharing a hot cup of coffee with the day’s news, a good book or visiting with an old friend. Details were not over looked when designing the aesthetics of these businesses. With a little help from WoodHaven Log & Lumber, owner Casey Mulder was able to bring Northern Michigan ambience south to his Colorado Coffee Company locations in Fowlerville and Howell, Michigan. Inside each, the feel of the North woods comes alive using WoodHaven’s half-log siding and log accessories.

The interior features the hewn half-log siding and “D"- trim, along with peeled and kiln-dried corners and posts. The natural color of the half-log siding walls complements the darker drywall and stone fireplace, while polished concrete and
carpeted flooring round out the integrity of the interior design. It all comes together to make customers feel like they’re sipping their coffee in a mountain hideaway – minus the drive!
