If you’re leaning toward cedar log siding, we understand. There’s something special about it. Our cedar log siding is nothing short of stunning. You’ll be glad you invested in our log cedar siding, and the cost is a fraction of full log.
Cedar is more resistant to rot and bugs than other wood, including pine. Although our pine siding also is kiln-dried and finished to beautifully take stain, if what you really want is cedar log siding and quality trumps cost, you will be thrilled with ours.
Pick the size that fits
You might not like the looks of prices for full logs. Our half log siding can give you the look for a lot less. You’ll love it because it looks just like full log. Only you need to know it’s not. Our half log siding is a smart way to go. It gives you everything you want in a full log home except the cost.
If you want our most affordable siding, go with quarter log siding. It is beauty you can afford. From a distance, it looks like half log siding so you can love it a lot while you save a lot.
We’re rather partial to our big, bad, fat log siding, FatBoy Log Siding. It blows the doors off because it’s so big, but does not cost nearly as much as traditional full log siding. Our FatBoy Log Siding is simply massive — and if you know anything about construction, you’ll want to note that these pieces do not need to fall on a stud (if you’re not doing the work, tell your contractor).
Style that suits your taste
Hewn log siding
Want the look of log siding that’s been hand-peeled? It’s the most popular style we make. If you’re not sure what it is, take a look at the hewn log siding photo. If that doesn’t convince you, call us for a sample or stop by.
If you don’t want to build a new full log home, cabin or building for your business, hewn log siding is a great option. We make it so it looks like full log.
Hewn log siding is our most popular log siding style, and the best-kept secret of a lot of our customers. It’s a great choice if you want a beautiful, traditional full log look on the exterior of your building.
Smooth log siding
If you want to go with something less rustic, consider smooth log siding.
It has a more contemporary log look. We mill it and make it straight.
If you’re keeping a close eye on your budget and don’t want to give up quality, go with smooth log siding.
The price is right and your finished project will still thrill you.
Installation can be easy
Easy installation? Is that a thing? Yes. Yes it is. But be careful. There are stores out there in the shape of big boxes that will sell you stuff on the cheap. It’s called ship lap. One piece laps over the next. That’s a problem because ship lap translates into warping, twisting and exposed fasteners (ewww). You’ll have to nail their stuff directly through the log face.
Our tongue and groove system means installation will be easy. Your finished project will be so much more beautiful compared to the alternative. Pieces we make will be all locked together. Our fasteners will be hidden. They’ll stay in place, have a strong seal — and all you’ll see will be the quality wood you invested in and put up with ease.
Check out our unique end-matching feature: 6-, 8-, and 10-inch cedar siding comes with it.
If you’re loving everything you see, but you still want to keep your costs down, our log siding products go up efficiently, easily, and with very little waste. You (and maybe your contractor) will love our end-matching EZ Loc Siding System.
Nobody will have to measure twice and cut once. Nobody will have to do anything spectacular to start a row — and one simple cut finishes a row.
Bounce this little detail to someone who knows what it means to do away with miter joints, and put an end to the need to place joints on 16” or 24” centers.
Prefinished cedar log siding
Our cedar log siding is custom made for every project we do. You’re not going to find any cedar log siding on the market that compares to ours.
You can buy it prefinished with a stain of your choice and clear coat — or you can buy it unfinished so you can finish it yourself.
Resists insect damage, moisture and rot
If you’re hesitating about going with your gut because of the cedar log siding prices you’ve seen, please call us to talk about your concerns. The way we treat our wood — including our cedar — makes it especially special. Our cedar log siding looks just like full log, and you can’t beat the price.
