Have a few questions?
We’ve got you covered
You’re not alone.
Doing business with someone for the first time can raise a few questions.
Ordering something that will be shipped some distance can be unsettling.
We want you to know we’re a rare find when it comes to doing business with integrity, care and genuine quality. We really do stand behind our products.
We have customers all over the country. We take as much care with shipping as we do in creating our products.
This page was created as a direct result of asking current and former customers about their questions and concerns. Hopefully our answers will give you clarity. Please call us if a concern you have is not addressed here.
Shipping
It will be on time. It might even be early.
The timing of delivery is driven by when you (or your builder) place your order. We are accustomed to dealing with schedule changes. As long as you let us know in time (at least five to seven business days) to hold your shipment, we can and will accommodate you.
WoodHaven utilizes the most affordable way to get your order safely to you.
Options include:
Less-than truck load (LTL)
Hot shot (small truck and trailer)
Full semi
Self-pick-up at mill
Warping and Shrinkage
We’ve been in this business a long time — 30 years in 2017.
We are not the other guys.
Our process is unique and of a quality rarely seen in our industry these days.
Because our products are kiln dried and cared for by craftsmen, you will have somewhere between zero and barely noticeable warping or shrinkage.
Availability
Welcome to the real world: WoodHaven Log & Lumber has busy seasons.
We’re not going to sugarcoat this one. If you want your products to arrive in early summer, you really should place your order in early spring.
Of course, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
If it’s a stock order with no custom work required, we can ship it quickly.
Bleeding knots
Very few. Very little.
Our process using white pine nearly eliminates this issue. If you’ve invested this much time on our website, you know what a difference making an investment in a quality product means.
Certain products bleed a lot; ours don’t. You’ll naturally get a little, but you won’t have a mess on your hands. You’ll be glad you stepped it up a notch.
Distance
Doing business outside your area might have you a bit worried.
It’s going to be OK. We have customers across the country.
Today’s technology means you can communicate with our family on a regular basis and vice versa. We are used to customers getting their message across to us from a distance.
If you’re worried about our products looking good in pictures, but you’re still worried because you never know what you’re gonna get, call us for a sample. We’ll ship a sample to you.
Packaging
Your material will be packaged properly. We care about our high-quality products arriving safely to you. It will be safe because we are fussy about the drivers/shipping companies we hire. One of our customers was worried about the driver just dropping his order on the ground. That just won’t happen. We put a lot into our products. Getting them to you safely is a big deal.
Service from a distance
Our expert team members take care of customers all around the country every day.
Shooting pictures via text and email will make the creation and completion of your project a breeze.
We have a long track record and lots of testimonials as evidence. We can and do provide stellar service from a distance.
Moisture content/tolerances
There’s nothing else out there that comes close to the quality of our products.
How we do what we do translates directly into you having very few — if any — problems down the road.
If you do, we’ll bend over backwards to make it right. We’re confident about exceeding your expectations.
