We like to give tours of our mill. No, that’s not entirely true. We love giving tours of our mill.
Actually, we’re so passionate about what we do that we will meet customers there if it’s at all possible — even on a holiday weekend.
Who does that?
We do!
Why?
As hokey as it may sound, our wood makes a difference in people’s lives. We know it because we’ve witnessed their joy when a project turns out better than they could have imagined.
What we know that they can’t fully appreciate when they initially buy wood siding, paneling or special orders from us is the difference our kiln-dried wood will make in the long run.
How?
It’s not going to warp the way other wood does. Our drying process removes moisture to a percentage rate (7-12 depending on the type of wood) that is lower than nearly any wood product you’ll find on the market.
When will it matter?
It will make a difference during installation or construction — but the biggest benefits will come down the road. Our wood will last the test of time, keep its shape, stay put, and deliver years of genuine enjoyment NOT maintenance.
Our customers tell us they’re “in awe” when they tour our mill in Mio. Our wood is different. It feels different. It looks different. It even smells better than other wood products.
What’s the big deal?
Our high-quality wood products are affordable. We haven’t priced them out of reach. We want and need to stay competitive. It’s more important for us to create wood as it should be than it is to price ourselves out of the marketplace. Although most of our customers don’t need financing (because we’ve priced our wood right), we do offer it. If your project is huge or a special part of a larger one, we’d love to help you make your WoodHaven wood purchase easy.
Come for a tour!
We’d love to meet you.
One of the most interesting aspects of our business is that most of our clients become friends. The common threads seem to be appreciation for honesty, integrity, quality and a desire to have a little fun.
