We decided to send a drone to get video of a client’s home in the hills outside Prescott, near Phoenix, Arizona.
His project was special in lots of ways, but the setting made it spectacular — and worth everybody’s time to coordinate the shoot.
There aren’t a lot of log homes in the area; most people use stucco or wood planking on the exterior of their homes. Our client says his looks like a log cabin. It sits up on a hill — and looks like it belongs.

A self-described rookie, our client installed our quarter log pine siding with his son-in-law and guidance from our team via phone and email.
He wanted to buy wood products for his home project from a manufacturer, not a big box store — and he couldn’t find one in his area. So, he took to the internet and found that price points for the wood products he wanted were much the same. We gave him a quote and shipped a bunch of samples.
He sent drawings to one of our in-house intelligence officers, Randy. We custom cut wood for the entire project (as we do for every job), which included stained quarter log exterior siding and pine slats for the ceiling.

You might not consider winter in Arizona to be detrimental to the installation of pine log siding, but it did affect the speed of the install for several weeks. According to our customer, once he and his son-in-law installed the bottom row, the rest was a breeze. We think they did a great job — but we’re not surprised because we cut all our wood to make installation easy.
Check out the video and see why our customer said, “Everybody’s in awe; they’re flabbergasted.”
