This is stunning … incredible.

People who have seen it say, “Oh my gosh,” or “This is stunning … incredible.” They cannot believe it is not a full-log home. Numerous people come by and take pictures of it — even contractors.

I had the basic WoodHaven design but then changed it a bit. I made it wider drawing on a blank piece of paper with a pencil and a protractor. I then took it to an architect who just put the plan in the proper format. I was surprised on how well it came out and how much I saved using the basic WoodHaven design.

It’s a new build, and it wound up looking really, really nice. We’ve had a million-dollar home before, but we are getting ready for retirement and downsizing. I’d never built a house before, but I built this lake house with a couple of friends who are trim carpenters; they got me out of trouble. They’d drive two hours, one way, to work on this project. The video on WoodHaven’s website was very helpful; I liked it.

Randy at WoodHaven truly was a pleasure to work with. He would return my call on a Saturday or at night, in a timely manner, which allowed me to continue working on and complete my project on my schedule. He was knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was someone I could count on during the process. It was an awesome experience.

WoodHaven’s quarter log cedar siding a very good product. I enjoyed working with it. The wood was soft enough to work with. It’s not cheap, but not out of line with others. My belief is you get what you pay for — and you only live once. This investment substantially increases the value of your home and its curb appeal.
