WoodHaven’s quality can’t be matched …

Every stick of lumber I’ve bought for this 24’ x 20’ master-suite addition has been from WoodHaven, except for the interior wall framing. The addition includes a utility room, a bathroom, a 10’ x 4’ walk-in closet and an 8’ x 4’ computer area that also houses my security system.

I ordered extra logs as spares, knowing I’d make mistakes. I didn’t make any. Everything arrived and there was nothing missing. Every piece of wood I put up was perfect.

WoodHaven’s sales consultant, Randy, and I talked a minimum of a dozen times. I’d never done anything like this before, so I watched a few of their installation tips videos online. One day I called Randy about corner pieces and realized then that he was in the videos.

I have nothing negative to say except Randy wouldn’t come out and install it! (Stateline Builders from Burksville, KY were my subcontractors for the “dry in”.) I did the interior framing and tiled the bathroom and hallway floors by myself; it was dead level. I’m an engineer, so I’m bent on getting everything straight. I put a level on every log and thought, “This thing is level.”

The bathroom ceiling is 12’ x not quite 7’. The last piece had to be trimmed. One piece no taper.

Randy also suggested 3” and 5” random length pine flooring instead of hardwood for “character”.  The floor came out great!

We bought this place in 2016 and looked around quite a bit for ideas. We went to a home show in Indiana and met a builder who said, “If you haven’t bought it from WoodHaven, you haven’t bought the best stuff.”

I called other mills and learned that everybody else has a higher moisture content. WoodHaven’s quality can’t be matched — plus, they are professional and personable.
