Are you considering installing wood paneling in your home’s interior? You’ve come to the right place! WoodHaven Log & Lumber supplies homeowners and contractors with premium home paneling that accomplishes four things:

  1. Installs without a fight
  2. Lasts without warping
  3. Eliminates waste
  4. Looks stunning in the home

How do we achieve all of our quality standards? It’s easy when you run your own woodmill. We handle all of our own cutting, staining, shaping, and more. With control over the entire process, we’ve been able to craft consistently superior wood paneling products. You won’t find quality wood like this at a big box hardware store.

Each of our wood products come straight as an arrow and naturally avoids warping, thanks to our meticulous kiln drying process that brings the moisture level of our wood to between 7-12 percent. Most wood suppliers skip this crucial step to save time and money on their milling process, but this leaves their paneling susceptible to warping or other moisture issues.

Our wood paneling eliminates waste during installation. While many similar products use shiplap edges to virtually eliminate gaps between boards, they still cause issues of wasted wood and exposed nails/fasteners. All wood paneling at WoodHaven comes with specially-designed tongue and groove edges on all sides of a board. Each board fits into the next, while boards are fastened down on the tongues which are hidden by the next board’s interlocking groove. This ends with a seamless wall showing no fasteners!

We guarantee that purchasing any WoodHaven product will provide you with quality wood that lasts. Now that you know we provide only the best, it’s time to determine which wood will work best for you and your budget.

Cedar Paneling

A very popular wood in paneling is cedar. It has a darker, redder shade compared to some paler woods. Beyond looking amazing in the home, cedar wood has a wonderful aromatic property (meaning it smells real nice). The oil in cedar has natural insect-repelling properties which helps detract pests from the home. It’s a very durable and stable wood, and withstands most conditions well without warping, shrinking, or swelling. Finally, cedar is a porous wood which allows it to insulate well and even absorb sounds, giving your home a tranquil, peaceful feeling.

Aspen Paneling

Aspen is a classic choice for home wood products, but it is the most costly option. It has a beautiful light-almost-white tone, dark knots and straight grain. Our aspen paneling comes with our standard tongue and groove edges, and is kiln-dried to perfection just like all of our products. It costs a little more to supply than other species, but you won’t find better quality aspen siding anywhere else. Finally, it is only available in 6-inch width boards, as the logs that are supplied to our mill come smaller than the other species.

Knotty Pine Paneling

Our most affordable option is our knotty pine paneling, but that doesn’t mean any lack in quality. Pine has a more yellow-red shade compared to cedar or aspen, dotted with many brown knots. It comes from local pine forests in Michigan, and is highly sustainable. The best part of our knotty pine: it’s available in five different widths, meaning you have even more choice over your end result. Widths range from 4” to 12”.

Barn Wood Paneling

Looking for the aged, distressed look on your wall paneling? You could try sourcing reclaimed barn wood, but many people find it’s expensive and rife with issues. Splinters, rot, water damage, and insects can compromise the quality of the wood over time. That’s why we at WoodHaven created our own alternative! We process our own barnwood by staining and distressing white pine. It looks just like the real thing, but without the high costs or problems.

What Next?

If one of our premium wood paneling products appeals to you, the next step is to get your hands on some! We offer a sample kit, where you can even choose which types of wood you’d like to receive. This is also a good way to see the differences for yourself if you aren’t sure which wood to go with. No matter which type you go with, all of our products undergo the same quality process, and are sure to look stunning in your home!
