WoodHaven is Making Barn Wood Affordable!

Using reclaimed barnwood can bring a lot of rustic charm to both external structures like sheds and garages; and into interior spaces like living rooms. The only problem is, actual reclaimed barnwood is rife with issues.

The first issue is finding good quality rustic barnwood is difficult since demand has risen among DIY project builders and everyday homeowners looking for a rustic touch to be added to their homes. There are only so many old barns to source wood from so good barnwood has become expensive. Some people choose to go with lesser quality reclaimed barnwood, but it can have its own issues like rot, pests and nails that need to be dealt with.

WoodHaven Has Created a Better Solution

We’ve created a solution to the problem of expensive reclaimed barnwood: our own manufactured barnwood! We take white pine that’s sustainably sourced from Michigan forests and stained it to create an authentic barnwood look. Each board even has its own unique character just like the real deal! We then mill our barnwood into the most easily-installable wood siding and paneling products you can find. They go up easily on your external structure or interior walls.

How WoodHaven Barnwood Beats Reclaimed

Our barnwood looks like the real thing, but it’s never experienced years of weather and rot. Our barnwood is made leaving the sawn face with a smooth finish, so it’s safe to touch and work with. You wouldn’t dare run your hand over reclaimed barnwood or else you risk major splinters! We also kiln dry our wood to an extremely low moisture content, which helps keep the wood planks straight as an arrow and ready to accept a stain or sealing. Better dried boards also resist warping over time. WoodHaven barnwood has none of the typical issues of reclaimed barnwood AND it’s cheaper!

Why is Our Barnwood So Easy to Install?

WoodHaven’s barnwood products are created with tongues and grooves on both the sides and ends of each board. Each plank of siding or paneling features both a protruding “tongue” and a “groove” (divot) on either end. These joints allow the boards to easily connect like a puzzle piece, creating a flat surface. Homeowners and contractors alike love working with this barnwood because of how easy it is to install.
