Know what you’re getting before you buy

When you’re buying custom wood products they’re usually for a dream home, log cabin, special room or project. It’s something that’s going to last so you want the best, right?

Not everybody cares about quality, but we have lots of reasons why you should. Whether or not you decide to buy your log siding or wood paneling from us, you’d better know what you’re buying.

Did you know some companies that sell log home products don’t actually manufacture what they sell? They usually don’t touch it until they pack it. They can’t tell you what the drying process was like. They buy it for 50 cents and sell it for 80. They don’t care about quality.

Here are some questions you should ask as you shop for log home materials:
Did you dry it?
Did you mill it?
Did you process it?

If they can’t tell you that they made it from beginning to end, be ready to get what you are paying for because inexpensive often equals lower quality. Some resellers will hewn it for you, but there’s so much more to the process.
